Lonestar Overhead Doors & Gates in Dallas-Fort Worth is a locally family owned and operated company founded by John Coker, who has worked in the Garage Door & Iron Works industry since he was 16 years old.
John started out as a welding apprentice working for a custom iron fabrication company that specialized in all types of wrought iron home furnishing including light fixtures, gates, & furniture. There he gained a great skill for detailed welding fabrication that taught him the necessity of paying attention to details.
Later he moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and began working as an installer for a well known Overhead Door company in Dallas where he spent several years learning the basic fundamentals of commercial & residential garage doors.
After spending 5 years serving in the United States Navy, he returned to Dallas and started Lonestar Overhead Doors & Gates. His knowledge and experience in the garage door & gate business has gained the respect of custom home builders, architects, and customers all over the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
